Quicken backup errors mostly occur when the user has upgraded to installed the latest version of quicken in his system. In such cases, the Quicken software is not able to upload or read the file which has been downloaded or backed up. It throws an error stating “Cannot open the file” or that the file is being used by some other application. This could be an issue when the user is accessing a backup file from a shared location such as a drop box. In such cases, users are recommended to move the file to the local system and then try to import. The issue should no longer be present.
